Where Can You Stream with XSplit Broadcaster?
Stream to Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Live or Kick with XSplit Broadcaster, or connect to X Live. You can also connect to professional video services, send your production through Restream, or set up a custom stream for a destination that accepts external encoders.
Start with where your audience watches. Then choose the connection method and prepare your account using the guides below.

Two ways to connect your stream
A platform output connects Broadcaster directly to a particular service. Depending on the integration, you can sign in to your account, choose a channel or event, and manage stream information inside Broadcaster. Some output plugins are included; others are available through the Plugin Store.
A custom stream connects using the server URL and stream key supplied by your destination. Choose this route for a service without a dedicated output plugin or when you prefer to enter the connection details yourself.

Stream to X
You need an X Premium account with a blue checkmark. In the X Live output, sign in to your account, choose or create a stream source, and set your broadcast information before starting the stream. Follow the X Live setup guide for the complete workflow.
X also provides RTMP ingest through Media Studio Producer. Accounts with Producer access can use the connection details it supplies for a custom stream.
Get your account ready
Before you configure an output, make sure your destination account is ready to receive a stream.
YouTube requires a verified channel with live streaming enabled, no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days, and a minimum age of 16. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Follow YouTube's encoder guide for the desktop streaming workflow.
For Facebook Live, use an eligible profile or Page and an account with permission to broadcast there. Twitch requires two-factor authentication.
Vimeo external encoder streaming is available with Professional and Studio plans, or Enterprise with the Events feature added. On Dailymotion, your account needs the live-streaming feature enabled.
For TikTok LIVE, you need access to a Server URL and Stream Key. These credentials let you connect Broadcaster through Custom RTMP. Check for them in your account before preparing the stream.
For Amazon IVS and CDNvideo, create the receiving channel first. IVS delivers video to your own website or application, so prepare the player or viewing page alongside the encoder connection.
Set up a custom stream
Use a custom connection when your platform accepts RTMP ingest and supplies an external encoder server URL and stream key.
Create or select your live event or channel on the destination platform.
Open Output in Broadcaster and configure a custom output with the platform's server URL and stream key. Keep the key private.
Set the video and audio options to match the platform's requirements, including codec, bitrate, resolution and keyframe interval.
Select the output and use Stream to begin sending your production. Review the preview on the destination platform and complete its Go live step if required.
Broadcaster also supports SRT in Custom Stream and selected service outputs, plus RTSP push in Custom Stream. Match the protocol to your receiving service and the options available in the output. See the May 2025 release notes and July 2025 release notes for these protocol features.
Recording, cameras and device outputs
Broadcaster's other outputs serve different jobs. Local Recording saves your production to a file. Virtual Camera sends your scene to another app's camera input. NDI, local network streaming, DeckLink playout and Projector support network, hardware and display workflows.
For an internet broadcast, choose the service where viewers will watch and configure the matching platform output or custom stream.
