Background Removal is not working
XSplit VCam offers applications to receive frames in both RGB24 and ARGB32 pixel format. The “Remove background” function requires that the application using VCam is connected to ARGB32 and that the application has support for background transparency. Generally, conference applications like Skype, Gotomeeting, Cisco Webex Meetings do not support the “Remove background” function.
If you are using a creative video mixer application with support for alpha transparency you need to ensure that the application is configured to receive ARGB32 frames from VCam.
In XSplit Broadcaster, right-click on your XSplit VCam source to open the source properties.
Click Configure then select Video Output.
Selecting Video Output will open the Properties dialog. OnColor Space/Compression, select ARGB32.
To make sure the new color space is applied, refresh or re-add your VCam source in the application. Selecting remove background in VCam should now display the background as transparent.
XSplit Gamecaster automatically selects ARGB32 video output so no further configuration should be required.
If you are using the direct show driver, OBS Studio should be configured to only show the ARGB option, so no further configuration is required.
If you are using the kernel hardware driver, then you need to change the video format.
In order to get access to change the video format, it is required to first set Resolution/FPS type to Custom and then set the same settings as shown in the image below.
When you add XSplit VCam as an input, make sure to select ARGB32 in the Video Format drop-down.
