While you can already use XSplit Broadcaster to connect to Twitch directly, you may optionally want to use Custom RTMP to connect instead.
This guide shows you how to obtain the Stream Name and Stream URL from Twitch as well as set up the Custom RTMP account on XSplit Broadcaster.
Obtaining the Stream Key:
On the Twitch homepage, click on your Twitch username then Dashboard.
On the Dashboard sidebar, click on Settings.
Click on Stream Key.
Click on Show Key.
Click on I Understand.
The Stream Key shown will go to the Stream Name field on XSplit Broadcaster.
Please make sure that you keep your Stream Key private.
Obtaining the RTMP URL:
Select a server Location geographically nearest to where you are streaming from the list.
The RTMP URL shown here will go to the RTMP URL field on XSplit Broadcaster.
Setting up Custom RTMP:
Click on Outputs > Set up a new output > Custom RTMP.
Enter the RTMP URL and Stream Name you obtained above.
The Name field is also required. You can type anything here.
You will be able to select the Custom RTMP profile you created on the Outputs menu to start streaming.
