So you want to be the next rising YouTube star? YouTube has made it possible for live streamers to get on board their biggest video sharing platform. XSplit will power your live interaction with your subscribers and here, we’ll show you how to get yourself started.
When launching XSplit Broadcaster for the first time, in the Login window click the YouTube logo. Then enter your YouTube login for authentication.
Then you will be prompted to connect YouTube to an XSplit account. You can choose between a New User, which will register a new XSplit account, or an Existing XSplit User, which will ask you to login to an existing account.
Now, you’ll be brought to your XSplit presentation. Here, you can add sources. Sources can be anything that you want to present in your stream or recording - from your game, overlays, or widgets such as stream chats. You can learn more about adding Sources by clicking here.
You will need to make sure Live Streaming is enabled on your YouTube account before you start a broadcast. You can learn how to do that here.
Then on XSplit, click on the Broadcast menu, then go to Set up a new output and select YouTube Live.
And you’re all set and ready! Let’s go ahead and start your stream. Click on Broadcast again and select your created YouTube broadcast output. A red status bar should appear at the top of the XSplit Broadcaster application window showing that you’re live.
