Generating a DxDiag File
In some cases, the Technical Support staff will request you to generate a DxDiag file. This file contains detailed information that the staff can use to diagnose and troubleshoot DirectX and video- or sound-related issues.
Generating the DxDiag file
Go to Start > Run or ⊞ Windows Key + R.
On the Run prompt, type "dxdiag" then click OK.
On the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window, click on Save All Information….
Browse to a folder, type in a filename then click Save.
It's recommended that the folder and filename you choose can easily be remembered and accessible.
