In this short little guide, I will be explaining how to record and stream at 2 different Frame rates. For the sake of simplicity lets say you want to local record at full 60 fps but don't want to waste the bandwith so you want to stream to say justin.tv/msgtgunny at only 30 fps or less. Up until now you would have had to figure out some work around that included other programs, but no longer.
Step 1) Set your frame rate in xsplit to the higher of the 2 frame rates. In our case 60 fps.
Step 2) Open up the stream you wish to stream at a different frame rate and use this modifier on your preset "&ex:fps:30" You cannot use this on the default xsplit preset but the closest one to it is very fast so your preset box should look like this "veryfast&ex:fps:30" without quotes.
This will now make your x264 encode your stream at 30 fps while leaving the preset to veryfast on local recording will make it record at your full 60 fps.
Thats it, your done. Please follow my channel http://www.justin.tv/msgtgunny and say thanks.
