Introducing the Delay Server

Date Posted: 18 Apr 2012

The Delay Server is a feature of XSplit that allows you to put some delay on your stream. This can be a useful feature for streamers with restricted real-time permissions, or for gamers who wish to delay competition content. Here's what it looks like:

To start it, simply open XSplit Broadcaster, and click on Tools >> Activate Delay Server. You can specify the delay in seconds. Please take note that this feature is only available for Premium users.

Once you are done simply just leave the Window open, and start streaming!

According to the instructions, it supports time of up to 3 min... not sure as I am not a premium user... just saying for anyone curious...

Limiting this feature to premium users makes it incredibly hard for new casters to get into the scene. Hurts gaming quite a bit. =/

What's the maximum delay for this? I'm considering buying a license, but I need to know that I can add up to 15-20 minutes of delay.

Nice stuff! Thats an important tool for ego shooter broadcasting because with this tool the players cant get an advantage. Example: Team A have a speccer to the broadcast and see the Team B what he do. Ugly! But with a delay of 60-90 seconds the advantage is away. Result: nice tool ;)
